ANTIQUE FREEMASON METAL SEATED MAN SCULTPTURE STATUE WithMASONIC SQUARE COMPASS

  
Here for your consideration is an antique seated man Freemason figure. The piece, including the base measures approximately 11.5 inches in height by 11.5 inches (at the base) by 4.75 inches. Period of clothing appears to be 16th or 17th century. Very nice casting that shows good detail, right down to the iris of the eyes on the figure The figure is holding a writing instrument in one hand, a globe in the other (Europe, Africa, Asia continents outlined and spelled out), masonic tools and scroll resting next to a plinth with a book acting as a foot rest. Total weight is just under 9 pounds.

Light oxidation to the base which should come out with a polishing compound. Possible repair to the underside of the foot resting on the book. Left and right side base accents are secured by two metal ties each, one of the ties on the right side is missing making it loose.
