For Sale: Antique Ball Jar Letter Opener. Here is a nice piece of antique advertising. This is a metal letter opener featuring a Ball "perfect mason" jar as the handle. On the back the blade is marked Ball Bros.

Co" and the jar handle is marked "Muncie, IND. These markings suggest this piece dates to some point during the time when the company went by that name - 1886 to 1922. It is a bit under 7 long. The end has bends and marks from use. Apologies for the poor photography. It was difficult to capture details on the dark metal. Photos with and without flash have been provided to both show detail, and show what it looks like without light shining on it. Please see pictures for condition.
