Mason was famous for making Nautical Lamps and Lanterns. The patent date on the label says R. On the thumb screw to adjust the wick has patent date Sept.

Maker label is made of brass and says George H. Mason, Maker, Boston most likely made around 1865. It is in really beautiful shape, stands total height with ring of 17 1/2", the lamp itself is 12 1/2" and the glass globe is 5 diameter. The kerosene or oil reservoir remove somewhat clever, press two tabs and it drops out easily to refill with oil.
