Brass Wrought Primitive Hearth Trivet Folk Art Masonic Fireplace Sad Iron Mason

  
A nice early brass and wrought iron trivet. Not sure of its exact purpose or place in the home. Looks like it may rest on a chair or other piece of furniture. Trivet slides easily on the rods.

The decoration shows the Masonic symbols in the center. Measures roughly 12 inches long and 7 wide, the back side is about 9 inches tall. One of the hooks has some moderate wear. Expect minor evidence of use or imperfections, dings etc.
