HO Scale IHC 1856 Wm Mason B. 4-4-0 Locomotive & Tender NIB - Rare! Usually, I focus on acquiring, repairing and refurbishing damaged model 2-4-0 and 4-4-0 locomotives. However, a recent acquisition gave me the opportunity to get a number of 4-4-0 locomotives that aren't normally seen.

The more popular ones include the Rivarossi / Pocher Genoa and Western Atlantic 4-4-0's... But every now and then, something different comes along..

And that's what you're seeing here. (Baltimore & Ohio Railroad) 4-4-0 produced in Slovenia. It comes in the original box, which is in excellent condition with no visible tears, dings or discoloration.

The front plastic window is intent and clear, and the cradle holding the locomotive is white, pristine and intact. Have I got your attention? Now for the icing on the cake.. The best description I can give you is this... Original paperwork from IHC included.

Pilot / Cowcatcher is golden colored and undamaged. Front lantern is clean and has the plastic cover in the opening. Smokestack is intact with a metal cover over the top in a brilliant gold color.

The boiler is painted in a dove gray color and has gold bands wrapped around the boiler. Whistle and two domes atop the boiler are present and intact. Wire wrapped around second dome top attaches above the engineering cabin. All metal fittings, stanchions, rails are bright and shining, no corrosion or wear present.

All wheels on the axles are clean, bright and free of any buildup from repeated usage. Badges on either side of the locomotive beneath the engineering cabin are present and undamaged. The Wm Mason logo is present on either side of the engineering cabin in gold. Top of the engineering cabin is painted satin black.

Tender attached and the drive shaft is original. Logo on the sides of the tender car. Tender is completely clean, undamaged and ready to go. All the steps are present and intact.

Hook and horn coupler attached to the back. Most importantly, this is one of the quietest locomotives I've had the pleasure of offering, unlike the Bachmann locomotives.

One of them was in bad shape, with obvious damage and questionable operation, while the other one was without it's box. This one is far above either of them. No damage, mint condition, tested, in it's original box with everything it came with.

This is one of those ones that you're not going to see again for awhile. There aren't alot of these compared to the Bachmann Jupiter, or the Rogers, or the Reno, or even the Inyo. So don't let it get away. And if you have questions, let me know.
